OUR HISTORY
A WINE-MAKING HERITAGE IN THE HEART OF PROVENCE
Château Saint Laurent, a historic château in Provence, bears witness to a thousand-year-old winemaking heritage.
Cultivated since Roman times, this exceptional terroir was home to an ancient fortified farmstead in the 12th century, before welcoming Carthusian monks in the 14th.
THE WINE OF THE PAPAL TABLE
Located near Avignon, the estate was chosen by the Papacy as early as 1309: the Popes’ vineyard, renowned for the quality of its wines, was then served at the papal table. Even today, papal boundary markers mark this wine-growing heritage of Avignon. Committed to transitioning to organic farming, Château Saint Laurent continues its legacy by producing prestigious wines, while opening its doors to wine tourism in Provence, to bring the authentic French art of living to life.
